Our Story

In The Beginning…..

Sovereign Grace Church began in the spring of 1989. The vision was to plant a dynamic local church rooted in the Gospel of Grace for the glory of God. Soon after the church began to meet, we began to grow and thrive in the grace of God. Since then we have experienced many evidences of God’s continued grace as people’s lives are being changed. Relationships from diverse backgrounds are being weaved together into existence as an expression of God’s purpose and design for His church.

Adoption!

In the fall of 1992, Sovereign Grace Church became part of a growing family of churches called Sovereign Grace Ministries. Since that time, we have enjoyed rich relationships and oversight from the SGM leadership team.

The Present

In 2004, after many different venue changes across the city of Houston, God called this community of believers to the city of Pearland. God made it clear that Pearland was to be the place where this church was to call home. In 2005, by God’s grace, we purchased the land where, in God’s timing, we will eventually build a facility for our church to worship in.
