Church Membership

We hold membership in high regard at Sovereign Grace Church.   Members who enter into a covenant with us are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. By becoming a member you are committing to be part of a spiritual family that will provide support and encouragement in your walk with Christ. Our elders and leadership pledge to assist our members first and foremost, by providing care and counsel as well as prayer, teaching, and guidance as necessary.

The Membership Class

Because we hold membership in high regard we want to be upfront and honest with you from the beginning so you can make an informed decision about joining our church. By providing a membership class we are able to cover the essentials of what it means to be a member, our basic beliefs, our distinctives, and what you should expect from the elders and leaders.  Theses classes usually take place over three consecutive Sunday mornings before the worship service.

A Word about Baptism

For all of those who express their desire to be baptized, we set up a time with you so you can share your testimony with us.  We also use this time to talk through the biblical significance of baptism, and answer any other questions you might have concerning this ordinance.  You can find additional information on our view of baptism by clicking here.
